ABOUT US

TERMIT d.d., established in 1960, is a mining company for the production and processing of silica sands and the production of auxiliary casting material for foundries and ironworks.

Our production programme offers solutions and innovative technologies for the needs of casting, civil engineering, and management of sports facilities and grass areas in Central and Southeastern Europe.

We produce cores from our own precoated, dried and sieved sands using Croning, Cold-Box and Anorganic process.

With the programme of auxiliary casting material we cover all production processes in foundries; from core production, melt preparation, forming, coating, and finally casting all types of ferrous and non-ferrous metals.

We ensure the quality of our products and services with acquired international certificates: ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001.

In recent years, we are investing heavily in technology and modernization of production, which allows us long-term development.

HISTORY BY YEARS

1960

Establishment.

1961

Acquisition of permits for the exploitation of quartz sand no. 09/31/4-61.

1965

First drying room and first device for the production of coated sand was made

1972

Installation of a larger drying oven and dust extraction equipment, purchase of the new Fordath 2000 line for sanding after the croning process.

1988

A new sowing station and a second line for coated sands with cleaning devices.

1998

Ownership transformation of TERMIT into a public limited company.

1999

Update the line for the sandworks Webac.

2002

The beginning of kernel manufacturing by croning procedure.

2003

Change of company headquarters.

2008

Making kernels by the cold box procedure. Establishment of HOLTERMIT.

2012

Relocation of the production Ilpos to Moravče.

2015

Beginning of a new PSO building (production and storage facility) ..

2017

Opening of the Commercial Warehouse facility and commencement of operation.
